Torment: Tides of Numenera
The name of "Torment: Tide of Numenera" involves the upcoming game's setting, but it is more colloquially associated with being a follow-up to "Planescape: Torment". This game will be recited alongside "Planescape: Torment" and "Divinity: Original Sin," if you are a fan of the story inside the game, this is one that is also filled with deep lore, meaningful choice and memorable characters.
Discover The Ninth World at the intersection of ancient magic and new technology! As the Last Castoff - the final remnant of a larger, more ancient being - your immortality could be the key to saving or destroying the Ninth World. Heavy on message, the story is scripted around a complex relationship with both legacy and identity, and oh-so many "choices" which end up having virtually no impact upon the world constructed for you.
Use a deep character creation system to customize your own aptitudes as well as capabilities to your preferred way to play. Pick one of three core classes: Glaive, Nano, and Jack, each with its own set of poses and advancement choices. The game allows you to play in any style you like and it can never be boring or repetitiive prccess.
Experience an original tale where your choices mean everything. Each decision you make affects the narrative and its conclusion, resulting in various endings. With its in-depth dialogue system that responds to each and every choice you make, your world and experience is sure to be unique.
Discover intricately designed levels full of hidden paths and puzzles, along with obvious and not so obvious secrets. The Ninth World is full of weird beasts, wearable artifacts, and incredible ancient innovations. They have taken great care in the set design of each location and it really shows with how wonderful and rich everything looks.
Again, in Torment: Tides of Numenera you can play without combat, but also this game is turn-based strategic with an emphasis on tactical approach and preparation. Battles can be avoided and conflicts passed with other means because the game heavily emphasizes choice and consequence.
It also has a complex system of companions, each with their backstory, drives, and quests. How you choose to help (or not) these characters can impact how they change and grow as people, and their fates will all tie back into your overarching adventure.
The blend of complex narrative, consequential decision-making and excellently crafted world are nothing stuff short of groundbreaking. Live in the Ninth World and build a destiny in real time with this exciting adventure.
