Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune

This week, I'm calling out Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune on PS4 as I took a nice vacation on a deserted tropical island filled with sun, fun, and beautiful visuals. A game that takes the popular characters of the "Dead or Alive" fighting games and is set in a luxurious island resort, allowing each character to partake in various beach activities and water sports.

Game play, which is on the lighter side and features mini-games such as beach volleyball, pool hopping and tug-of-war. One of the few provisions just about all of the activities agree on is that each activity must be pick-up-and-play simple - they should function as light, soothing experiences. The social aspects and customization add a new wrinkle, too, letting you dress up your favorite cast of characters and strengthen your relationships via activities.

Featuring the character models that appeared within this colony being much more detailed than before and delivering the letter boxed paradise beautifully rendered. The attention to detail in Far Cry 5 extends even to things like in-game animations and physics, making the game even more immersive.

In case you want a breather from high intensity game time, then Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune is for you. It is a whimsical visual tour de force of a game that presents a chill, beach-party atmosphere.
