Mortal Kombat XL PS4 Developed by: NetherRealm Studios Rated: M for Mature Mortal Kombat X was a critical hit, and this definitive edition of the game includes all previously released downloadable content (DLC), expanding the already extensive roster of fighters with new skin variants, as well as additional gameplay tweaks. Mortal Kombat XL provides an action-packed personal computer battling expertise combined with its own extensive auto mechanics and renowned disaster fatalities.
Story and Setting
The game lets the narrative continue well over two decades after the events of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, and with this new addition, players consume themselves into a deadly conflict between good and evil as Earthrealm's defenders battle against the NetherRealm led by fallen Elder God Shinnok. The game's campaign is a film-like experience, offering up an array of individual chapters intertwined with each other but from disparate viewpoints. Not only is this mode capable of delivering some intense fights, but also helps spin a good yarn about the rich lore of Mortal Kombat.
Gameplay Mechanics

GameplayMortal Kombat XL keeps the fast, gory combat fans have come to know. Everyone has their unique abilities, special moves, combos and playstyles.
Each character has three unique variants that provide different abilities and moves. It also added layers to the gameplay, encouraging players to explore and find how they like to play.
Fatalities and Brutalities:
Returning are even more iconic fatalities and brutalities which execute the series trademark gorey, brutally over the top finishing moves fans of the series have come to love. The finishers are one of the highlight features of Homefront: The Revolution, playing out in brutal fashion as you kill your enemies.
This will introduce new ways to strategically interact with the environment and perform stage fatalities whilst fighting.
Multiplayer and Online Modes:
Multiplayer gameplay in Mortal Kombat XL Mortal Kombat XL features multiple game modes, ensuring you and your friends have hours of hacking and slashing excitement! Check out ranked matches, player lobbies or weekly challenges to offer a bit of variety.
Players can join one of five factions and battle for supremacy in daily Faction Wars on a global scale, earning rewards based upon their contributions.
Features and Enhancements
Extensive Roster:
The XL version comes stacked with each of the diving fighters, as character DLC, includes Predator, Alien, Leatherface and Jason Voorhees. With such a varied cast, this list has a character for nearly every type of player.
In addition to new skins and costumes for fighters, the Clutch Hits action allows players to personalize their brawling brother or sister even further.
Visual and Audio Excellence:
The game has a great deal of eye-catching visuals that include high detail character models, fluid animations and vibrant multi-layered back grounds. This is one area where the visual fidelity adds to every fight, rendering the brutal combat even more visceral.
It is well supported too by strong sound design, with striking audio cues and a bold soundtrack which serves to enhance the tension of the game.
Challenge Towers & Living Towers:
Challenge Towers: A series of challenge towers test players skillsK with a variety of modifier and scenario based challenges Players earn in-game currency and unlockables by completing these towers.
Living Towers offers the challenge for players to play these challenges in order to gain specific cosmetics and rewards each time they change.
Interesting Feature
One of the neat modes in Mortal Kombat XL is its "Krypt". The crypt serves as a means of exploration and unlocking costumes, fatalities, concept art and more for the near endless amount of content MK11 includes.
