Story and Setting

The game lets the narrative continue well over two decades after the events of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, and with this new addition, players consume themselves into a deadly conflict between good and evil as Earthrealm's defenders battle against the NetherRealm led by fallen Elder God Shinnok. The game's campaign is a film-like experience, offering up an array of individual chapters intertwined with each other but from disparate viewpoints.
