Battlefield V
Battlefield V developed by DICE and published under the Electronic Arts. It serves as the eleventh canon game in Battlefield series for PS4. Set during the chaotic time of World War II and released last November, the game offers players both single player and multiplayer modes that immerse a gunner right in to battle.
Gameplay and Mechanics
In Battlefield V, it is all about interplay across the squad and strategic fighting. Couple new systems and lots of refinements over the past games:
Fortifications - Build and repair structures like sandbags or barbed wire to fortify positions (or constructing the hallowed infrastructures of DICE), adding a deeper natural aspect for gamers.
Ammunition is scarce, thanks to an attrition system that requires players rely on resupply points here and there for health or ammo.
Advanced Movement - More fluid running, jumping and sliding with enhanced battle mechanics.
Grand Operations: The ultimate multiplayer experience, Grand Operations pits two teams against each other in an intense multi-day battle proven to be one of the most popular modes Battlefield has had.
Visuals and Sound
The game looks beautiful with impressive environments, faithful automotive design and weapon models. Graphically, they look great on PS4 and play at a rock solid 60 frames per second. The sound work is excellent, providing tangible audio clues and audible indicators that really bring the battlefield sensation to life.
Single-Player Campaign
All of this is woven into the single-player "War Stories"--just lovely!I hasten to add. Every story follows different characters and places, offering a unique perspective of the worldwide struggle. Although the game's campaign briefs a great story and cinematic elements, it may feel quite shallow in terms of depth and length than its predecessors for some players.
Multiplayer
At the heart of Battlefield V is a robust multiplayer experience that supports up to 64 players in some epic fights. Key modes include:
This is the main game mode and offers large scale all-out warfare with multiple objectives.
Extremity: Infantry combat based smaller scale and covert maps designated to Team Deathmatch, Domination Maps.
Grand Operations - Takes place over several in-game days, with each day affecting the battlefield on the next.
Airborne Mode: This mode is very interesting, in this one you parachute into the battlefield spreading arms and just like historic airborne attacks.
A balanced experience system, it has cumulative progressions in global career ranks and each class individual rank to name a few. The idea behind this system is to provide incentives so players focus on and become proficient in specific areas of the game.
Conclusion
Pros:Solid World War II experience with a mix of strategic gameplay and large-scale battles in PS4's Battlefield V. Though the single player has been generally maligned and some technical grievances have arisen, it is pretty hard to argue that Halo 5 looks or sounds anything less than amazing when all of its components are put together for multiplayer. Veterans and series newbies alike will have plenty to enjoy in this period first-person shooter.
